blanking plates

MessageAuthor

A lot of manufactures build a standard loom for all the models in a particular range. This saves money on production and when people want to add extras on at the dealers as all they have to do is fit the bit and fit the switch not rip the whole car to pieces fitting wiring looms. Some other kit requires relays to be fitted too. E.G. All the fog light wiring is already in place even though most 850s didn't have them fitted in the early days. All you have to do is find the plugs and plug into the fog lights fit the switch and fit the relay. Cheers George

There's a bank of them behind the dials. You access them from the trim above the pedals. There up against the bulkhead below the fuse box. not sure which one though. It's a bit fiddly to get too.

For the fog lights it's Relay 7 which is top left and you also need a jumper link which is 16 bottom left of the bank it's green I believe. Try a search for fitting fog lights. I did post on how to link jumper 16 without having to buy a Volvo one. Have a read of the following.
